Artistic research

Emerging from Ghost Agency’s ongoing research into collective spaces that utilise invisibility, these works seek to manifest the human right to privacy—as a right we believe has been eroded in the digital age. Each of the works addresses a scarcely documented ethical deficit in the tech sector, which has major social and humanitarian consequences wherever people are monitored and tracked without the presence of new and accessible technologies. Pointing to the need for more substantial research into and documentation of these problems, the works insert themselves as such documents to counter prevailing informational systemic asymmetry.

Documenting our exploration of the systemic asymmetry of power and information in technology through tactical media and drawing from our research on women's rights in the digital age with a focus on Mexico, our artworks reflect our interest in humanising digital systems.
